We are always talking about password best practices and how important they are to the security of your environment. However, we know how difficult it can be to implement stronger password parameters among your workforces. Old habits die hard!

For example, upping password length to 15 characters can really halt a threat actor when attempting to password spray. If your current environment’s password policy is 8 characters, that would be a huge change for users! Even more so if they are logging into multiple systems and needing to keep track of multiple 15-character passwords. This is where a password manager/vault would come into play.

A password manager can store all of a person’s passwords leaving them only one strong password to access their account! There are many password manager options (LastPass, 1password) available based on your organization’s needs. Making a password manager available to employees can increase your security substantially and can make for an easier roll out of increased password parameters!
